• Step-by-step guide to tying the Rolling Hitch
• How it grips and resists slipping under directional force
• Common scenarios where this hitch is invaluable at sea

Description: The Rolling Hitch excels when you need to take the strain off a line or add an auxiliary line for control. It’s frequently used in sailing to relieve tension on a jammed winch, adjust the position of a tensioned line, or make temporary rigging changes.

Its directional grip makes it ideal for securing to objects where downward or backward slipping must be prevented, and it holds well on both smooth and rough surfaces.

Why Watch? Silent Knots offers calm, clear visual instruction to help you master essential rope techniques. The Rolling Hitch is a must-have in the toolkit of every sailor, climber, or rigger.
