In the owner's manual, signed 30 April 2003, the Bavaria 32 has an overall length of 10.30 m and a hull length of 9.90 m. sailboatdata prints 10.29 m, that is 33.75 feet, first year 2000, designer J&J, and a note asks not to confuse this boat with the Bavaria 32 Cruiser of 2011. Yachtsnet, on the page of the later 33 Cruiser, writes that the early 32 was almost 34 feet overall. The name "32" is shorter than the boat.
This page is for someone reading a Bavaria 32 advert who has not yet decided which year is on the plate: around 2000 and J&J, or 2011 and Farr. The live opening and the chips now print a Scandinavian template: 2000-2010, about 280-640 hulls, 9.8 m, 3.14 m, about 5,096 kg. That is not in the manual or the card file. We do not put a score of 7.5 out of 10 or the English badge "Главное" here. The yard in the declaration is Bavaria Yachtbau in Giebelstadt, not a Scandinavian one.

Design history
The one from 2011 is another drawing. Yachting Monthly on 11 January 2022: the Cruiser line was launched in 2011 together with Bruce Farr, and the Bavaria 32 Cruiser was later called the 33. It is the shortest boat of that line, and the author speaks of some 10 metres. The deep keel there is 1.95 m, the shallow 1.5 m. We do not paste those draughts onto the 2003 manual. In the manual the early boat has an ordinary keel of about 1.80 m and a flat one of about 1.50 m. sailboatdata prints 1.78 m for her and a shallow option of 4.83 feet.
The empty weight agrees: 3,750 kg in the manual, with emergency equipment, and the same 3,750 kg on the card. Fully ready to go, with crew, the manual says 4,630 kg. Ballast 1,060 kg in both texts. Beam in the manual 3.35 m, on the card 3.33 m. Waterline 8.50 m against 8.48 m. The category in that declaration is A, ocean. On the sheet there is one hull number, DE-BAVU32Y0E303. That is a type approval, not a census of the series.

The manual lists two engines: a Volvo MD 2020 of 14 kilowatts or an MD 2030 of 21. Saildrive 120S. Water about 150 litres there and 121 litres on the card. Fuel about 90 litres and 91 litres. We do not pick one tank figure. The end year 2004 from the live card is not in these sources. Yachtsnet only says the update arrived in 2005/6 under the name 33 Cruiser, also J&J, and ran until 2008. We do not take that 33 apart here. There is also a Bavaria 320: another designer, Axel Mohnhaupt, 1988-1994, length 10.19 m. Also not this hull. Before a deposit, the same stakes as on the live checklist: moisture at the forestay, saildrive service, keel bolts, without a kronor table that has no source.

Before the advert it is worth asking which year is on the plate: around 2000 and J&J, or 2011 and Farr. The length 10.30 m against about 10 m already shows that.
