FairHelm keeps two Swedish yachts of its own and access to boats and instructors in five countries. Groups stay at four. Teaching is 10+ years. The academy for owners sits beside the school. We do not diagnose or treat.
FairHelm - Academy of Yacht Mastery is an ISSA-accredited sailing school and yacht-ownership platform for Northern Europe. It runs small-group (up to 4) liveaboard courses in Sweden, Turkey and Croatia plus an online VHF course, and publishes a catalog of 652+ yacht model cards with specs and survey notes, side-by-side comparisons and pre-purchase buyer advisory. The focus is real seamanship and honest ownership decisions - not quick certificates. Lead expert: Vadim Nareyko, founder and ISSA instructor.
We use the sea as the environment, the sail as the tool, and attention as the core of growth. FairHelm is a school where people learn to keep focus, resilience and clarity in real life through sailing. We don't diagnose or treat. We work with skills, environment and process. We do not promise a captain in a week.
The school is accredited by the association. The head instructor trains instructors. On the association's own page, Vadim Nareyko is on the list of trainers for sail and motor instructors. He is not the only name on that list.
Beyond the ISSA courses, FairHelm is an Academy of Yacht Mastery for owners: model write-ups and buyer advice. It is not a second school. Theory and radio are online as well. This page does not retell how deep the training frame goes. Start at the academy portal or buyer advisory.
Vadim Nareyko is the founder of FairHelm, a yacht consultant, and the author of the academy texts.
As a trainer he leads the courses for instructors. As an instructor he leads the courses for skippers and Yacht Crew: Inshore, Offshore.
There are two Yacht Crew weeks. He alone currently leads Mindhelm together with Yacht Crew. He leads the separate Yacht Crew week as instructor.
Vladimir is an instructor who believes there is only one standard on the water - excellence. Anything less simply does not make sense, especially at sea. For several years he explored the Stockholm archipelago using only paper charts - no electronic navigation. That experience shaped his teaching philosophy: understand the sea first, rely on technology second. He also runs sailing expeditions through the archipelago as part of his own project, Fordewind Sailing.

Sergei Shemchenok does the pre-purchase yacht survey, skippers, and delivers yachts. He is not the instructor of a school week.
What we list as the fleet is two classic Swedish yachts, updated for the season. Under that sits access to boats and instructors in Poland, Croatia, Greece, Turkey and Sweden. Not five hulls of ours. Two. The names of those two boats are not on this page.
A school in Stockholm writes 2010 and names its Beneteau 50 and its Jeanneau. That year and those names stay on their site.
What this page does not promise. If you need five boats of your own, or a year on a plaque, they are not here. Two yachts.
