What online theory do we offer?
Free VHF Communication
Listen to real maritime VHF clips and self-assess your understanding. Hear routine traffic, safety calls, and urgency (including a short MAYDAY taster). Self-report after each clip to see if you're ready for the full exam. Free; about 1 hour.
VHF Radio Online
Online VHF radio training - procedures, distress, GMDSS. Optional ISSA SRC certificate. Required for charter in most countries.

Yacht Crew — Mindhelm

Beginners. Anyone who wants to start sailing without pressure and get a real crew foundation.
Inshore Skipper
Incl. yacht stay & instructor
Next: Dates on request. Contact us for current start dates.
Anyone who's done [Yacht Crew](/en/courses/yacht-crew) (or equivalent) and wants to take the helm. First level where you lead, not just execute.
Offshore Skipper
Incl. yacht stay & instructor
Expedition format with real night passages. Watches: 2 participants + instructor. Methodology: Autonomy, Command & Deep Resilience. We train resilience on the distance, not heroics. Inshore Skipper required.
Mooring Mastery
Incl. yacht stay & instructor
Week-long mooring course - theory and practice: Med mooring, stern-to, parallel berthing, picking up buoys. Standalone or combined with Yacht Crew.
Sails Mastery
Incl. yacht stay & instructor
Week-long sail trim course - aerodynamics, telltales, traveller, vang, spinnaker. Standalone or combined with Yacht Crew.
Instructor Training
Incl. yacht stay & instructor
Preparation to work as an ISSA instructor. Teaching methods, group psychology, feedback on style. In-person (Sweden or Greece) plus online. By recommendation.
