Contest 60CS: 2008–2014 span, no hull count
We reply within 2-3 days.
The Contest 60CS is a semi-custom Contest yacht designed by Georg Nissen, 18.80 metres long and 5.45 metres wide. It is not a production boat from a listing board. The yard built it in a closed span, from 2008 to 2014, and does not publish how many hulls were finished in those years. A buyer who comes from a production class looks for that number first. It is not here. What takes its place is a question about the hull itself: which year inside that span it was built, and which specification reached the listing. Each boat has its own answer, and that answer is in the papers of this hull, not in a series statistic.
| What is on the table | What does not follow |
|---|---|
| Catalog audit: Georg Nissen, 18.80 × 5.45 m, 2008–2014 | That row has no hull count |
| SailWiki, page opened 17 October 2026: length 18.8 m, beam 5.45 m, period 2011–2014 | Do not average the start year with 2008 |
| One Contest 60/62CS listing: built 2008, dimensions 19.18 × 5.45 × 2.35 m | One hull, not a new model length |
If the listing only says "Contest 60", the next step is a listing review.

Design history
Georg Nissen is the designer on the catalog audit. The same row gives 18.80 m length, 5.45 m beam, and the years 2008–2014. The name on the card is Contest 60CS. The address stays contest-60. This is a semi-custom yard, not a production boat from a listing board.
The open pages do not agree on the first year. SailWiki prints 2011–2014, with the same 5.45 m beam and 18.8 m length. Life of Sailing prints "First Built 2013" and Georg Nissen. A brokerage card for one hull named 60/62CS prints 2008. The average of 2008, 2011, and 2013 is not the model's year. Read the year on the hull plate and check whether it falls inside the span.
The yard does not give a hull count on these pages. The Contest history page does not print a 60CS count. One Medemblik listing shows bouwnummer 104. That is the yard number of that hull, not the number of boats finished in the span.

Buyer FAQ
- Which years was the Contest 60CS built?
The catalog audit says 2008–2014. SailWiki on 17 October 2026 says 2011–2014. Life of Sailing says the first boat in 2013. One listed hull is marked 2008 and named 60/62CS. The years are not averaged. Read the plate.
- How many hulls were built?
There is no number. The yard does not publish it. Bouwnummer 104 on one listing is that hull's yard number, not a series count.
- What is the length?
The audit says 18.80 m with a beam of 5.45 m. SailWiki prints 18.8 m and 5.45 m. One 60/62CS listing prints 19.18 × 5.45 × 2.35 m. The longer printed hull does not replace the audit length.
- What about draft and displacement?
They were not in this card's bank. SailWiki prints 2.65 m and 31,100 kg. Life of Sailing prints about 31,301 kg. The listing prints 2.35 m draft. While the sheets disagree, the card keeps a gap, not an average.
Annual ownership costs
There is no dated yard invoice for a year of Contest 60CS ownership. Berth and insurance depend on the harbour and on how that particular order was finished. Calculator bands on the site are scaled from length: an orientation, not this boat's bill.
Calculators for this boat
Indicative figure for weekend use. The country supplies berth and winter. The insurance line stays the Swedish planning band - not a Danish, German, or Dutch premium. Maintenance stays Swedish too. Not a marina quote.
- Netherlands (annual contract)€7,700 - €11,625
- Sweden (planning bands)€10,100 - €15,600
- Denmark (two harbours, season)€7,717 - €11,548
Antifouling
Litres need waterline length and draft. This page only has length overall and beam, so litres are not calculated here.

Plate
- Check the year on the plate against the audit span 2008–2014. Do not replace it with someone else's 2011 or 2013 print.
- Name: Contest 60CS. Card address: contest-60. A listing signed 60/62CS is a reason to read that hull's specification, not to average the length.
Length
- Audit row: 18.80 × 5.45 m.
- If the listing says 19.18 m, that is one hull. Do not add it to 18.80.
Not in the passport
- Hull count. A yard number on one listing is not the count.
- Draft and displacement. The sheets 2.65 m / 31,100 kg, about 31,301 kg, and 2.35 m are not merged.
