Sail plan

Two columns. Triangle areas from the rig measures. SA/D only when displacement is light or half load. Loaded displacement does not produce SA/D.

Boat A
  • Foretriangle: 24.0 m²
  • Mainsail triangle: 19.3 m²
  • 100% total: 43.3 m²
  • SA/D from 100% triangles: 11.5
Boat B

This column has no usable figure yet.

Cloth triangles, not the sail that is hoisted.

How the figure is built

Foretriangle = (I × J) / 2. Mainsail triangle = (P × E) / 2. Genoa = (I × LP) / 2. SA/D follows the FairHelm formula page: square feet divided by (pounds / 64) to the power 2/3. 1 m = 3.280839895 ft, 1 kg = 2.2046226218 lb.

Question

Is the triangle the sail that is hoisted?
No. It is the triangle from the rig measures. You can type a printed sail area separately.
