FairHelm checklist for the charter base

Their checklist first. Your questions second. Terms ready before Saturday at the desk.

This is our prep list for check-in. It does not replace the charter company’s checklist. Bases are busy: walk their points first, then ask about what you could not find on the boat.

Neighbour page - charter without a skipper.

Before the base

  1. Skipper named in the contract.
  2. Crew list sent.
  3. Skipper certificate scans (and radio if asked) with the company.
  4. Written approval from base / company - not only “received.”
  5. Terms below opened; unclear words marked.

At check-in

  1. Follow their checklist end to end.
  2. Questions after the walk: missing, not shown, unclear how to run.
  3. Fuel and water return rule - as they wrote it.
  4. Departure and return times, area limits - spoken with the base.
