Buy vs charter calculator
Compare FairHelm annual ownership cost to bareboat weeks for the days you actually spend on the water.
Comparison
Enter a number greater than zero for week price, days per year, and horizon. LOA must be valid, or the override must be greater than zero.
Planning comparison from the ownership bands and the charter week price you typed. Not a charter quote, not financial advice, and not a forecast of resale. Peak and shoulder weeks differ; replace the week price with a real offer.
How this is calculated
Ownership annual comes from the FairHelm ownership-cost calculator (LOA, region, mooring, usage) or from your override. Charter cost per day = weekly price ÷ 7. Breakeven days/year = ownership annual ÷ cost per day. Owning over the horizon = mid annual × years. Chartering over the horizon = (days/year ÷ 7) × weekly price × years. Purchase price, residual, skipper, APA, and flights are out.
